ZED

Hi guys! This time I´m going to talk about a new show that it is called ZED and takes place onl y in Tokio Japan.
ZED is a living poem, a timeless evocation that draws on the Tarot, an imaginary world that conjetures the  the vitality of the human condition and holds up a mirror to our true selves. The central, larger-than-life character Zed represents all of humanity from discovery to adventure. Zed grows as he discovers the world on his journey of initiation. Through this undertaking the people of the sky and the people of the earth are trying to connect with each other; through Zed, they come together.

Have you noticed that all the Circu Du Soleil´s shows presented take the audience to an introspective travel, in which each of them can realize about the progress of humanuty or their real feelings and with the help of that amazing especial effects, Circu Du Soleil complete the magic and express the reallity of human society, express all that little things and feelings that the most of the time we are affraid to. So I think that watching all these amazing show, help us to realize the true about ourselves and to express what we have to say to others, in order to being more human than robots because globalization and technology.

So I really hope that you like this post, and what do you think about the Circus Du Soleil´s real intention? It could be to present another different and amazing show? or really to show the feelings and emotions in a diferent way to improve society?

Corteo

Hi guys! Again after a week I brought other show of the famous and spectacular Cirque du Soleil this time it`s called "Corteo" which means "cortege" in Italian and it`s about a festive parade imaged by a clown and is touring in France, Spain and Netherlands. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth. 

In this show, the clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels. This show makes an opposition between the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic, and the most important fact the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection, showing the strength and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that  is within each of us. Corteo such the other Cirque Du Soleil show takes the audience in a trip of magic escaping of reality.    

A random and interesting fact of this show is about the clothes, for example, the finer details of the outfits were inspired by European styles between 1890 and 1930. The color palette chosen was soft in nature, including blue, pink, and fuchsia along with copper and gold hues. In order to create a worn-in, hand-me-down style of clothing, the costumes were airbrushed and dyed. Common fabrics throughout the wardrobe include silk, linen, and cotton, which are adorned with beaded lace, sequins, and gemstones. In total, more than 900 fabrics were utilized to create the 184 costumes.

CRISS ANGEL BELIEVE

Hi Guys! After a long week I brought another show, and it´s amazing, this show combines the magic and illusion of Criss Angel, and you may know that this person is an American illusionist, musician and actor. He is best known for his illusion show and starring in the television show Criss Angel Mindfreak and is the most watched magician in television history and recently awarded Magician of the Century. But this time he has a special collaboration with the Cirque du Soleil, with the show called it. “CRISS ANGEL BELIEVE” which takes place just at Luxor Hotel Casino, Las Vegas. This show it´s described as “the most spectacular illusions from the magician of the century”  This show has a special story, at first he tried to present the show at Broadway, as well as other casinos, but didn´t work, until he entered a partnership with Cirque du Soleil and the Luxor´s parent company.

The show gala opening was on October 31, 2008; at first the show received negative audience reactions, because magic Angel is known for confusing and uninteresting theme and that´s why viewers felt neither Angel nor Cirque du Soleil were able to perfume their capabilities until April 2009, at the end the show was not well received by the fans, because they said the show was “unbelievably BAD” , Cirque du Soleil later apologized to Hilton for Angel´s performance. So as you can see, not all the show of this cirque had succeed. 

Alegría

Hi guys! After a week I finally brought a new show of the Cirque Du Soleil, this time it has an interesting name, it’s called “Alegría” in Spanish, this name really surprised me because as you may know this amazing circus is full of magic, but most of the time is in English and the fact that this show has the name in Spanish… well it is kind of interesting, don´t you think? 

Well this show it´s touring in Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Hungary,  and has this name because “Alegria” is a state of mind, a feeling that encourages you to live as happy as you can, with all the aspects of life. This show presents the power and the feeling of the society along the history, the power and the handing down over time, the evolution from ancient monarchies to modern democracies, old age, young age, nowadays; in this show, each character represent a role of the human life, such as kings, minstrels, old aristocrats and children make up this amazing universe in which it reflects the feelings, the travel, and the change of our society.  

It would be interesting to see how real this show is, to what extend its reflects the reality of the society, the travel of power over the history, and the reaction of the spectator with this show, because many times the special effects and magic of the show, have influence in the people reception and could change their perception of what the society is. So… what do you think?  Do you think that this show may influence in the people way of think about the society?

ZUMANITY

Hi everybody, this week I am going to talk about the “other side” of the Cirque Du Soleil a very special show in which they explore, the human sexuality. Since the beginning of the circus story we have known that it is a circus, without animals shows, especially in shows of humans tricks in which they explore the skills and the human feelings.  But this unique show is called ZUMANITY created on September 20th 2003, by René Richard Cyr and Dominic Champagne(cirquedusoleil.com). This show takes place at New York, (The New York Hotel and Casino) and the Vegas. This show is described as “the sensual side of the Circus Du Soleil” because this show is an adult-theme production is a mix between a spectacular cabaret, human sensuality, acrobatics and fun. Zumanity was created for adults 18 and only in the Vegas. (cirquedusoleil.com)

This show is completely different from what the general public tends to see, a familiar or political point of view but with the spectacular magic of Circus Du Soleil, so if you go to New York or The Vegas and have 18 years old, try to see and feel this new experience that Circus Du Soleil offers.

ZARKANA and ZAIA

Hi everybody! This week I found interesting information about some shows of the Cirque Du Soleil. This show is called it “Zarkana” and is touring in United States, Spain and Russia, this show is mix between opera, and acrobatic show. “The story follows Zark, a magician who has lost his powers – and the love of his life– in an abandoned theatre populated by a motley collection of off-the-wall characters and incomparable acrobats. He runs into the Mutants, four sirens as sinister as they are fabulous, who are determined to divert him from his quest. (cirquedusoleil.com)

This show is a visual spectacular, an acrobatic universe where a fantasy and crazy world makes the perfect combination to involved people and let them dream about the arts and beauty of life. Zarkana, began the tour on June 9, 2011 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. 

Other amazing show that the Cirque Du Soleil has is “ZAIA” this show is about “the dream of a young girl who journeys into space on a strange, yet familiar voyage of self-discovery. As she travels, she encounters the beauty of humanity and eventually brings it back with her to share with the inhabitants of earth.” (cirquedusoleil.com) “ZAIA” present a different point of view about the stars, planets and the universe in general, a show with acrobatics, visual effects and lights that make you think that everything is possible if you just dream it.

How did it start?

Nowadays the Cirque du Soleil is recognized because the spectacular show they present, this circus shows a mix between circus arts, theater, original music, special effects, visual vanguards, among other things; it is important to mention that Cirque du Soleil does not give animals acts, as the majority of the circus does.

This famous circus was founded in 1984 in Quebec which in French means “Circus of the Sun” (cirquedusoleil.com) at first called “High Heels Club” in the 1980´s as a entertainment group that set up a festival, there the artists could changed ideas between them about the circus tradition; Through the years, this circus become more and more famous because the unique show they give. The Cirque du Soleil develops its programs in Montereal studio, and by now it has a permanent show in Las Vegas and Disney World in Florida, but principal it is famous because it travels around, the world since America to Asia, and employs actors, artists, acrobats, musicians from any nation.

The Cirque du Soleil has a lot of show in which we can appreciate the level of creativity, on of them is “OVO” which it is touring in USA, Canada and Mexico this show introduce you “into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life” (cirquedusoleil.com). Because the artists play with the insect´s home, a world filled of energy and movement; with this performance we can appreciate the insect work, eat, play and fight for love, since the mysterious egg appears at the beginning of the act, through the enigma they feel about this object until the end of the day. They make a unique performance of something we do not even thing it could be possible.
